Qiaquick is very similar to QiaEx kit. It uses NaI solution for dissolving the agarose, and a spin-column with silica membrane. Works really fast - 5-10 min for the preparation, however the shearing of high molecular weight fragments is relatively strong. I observed clear fragment sharing with fragments of about 8kb.
